Coast and Country Electrical was founded by Abel Wilson and Dean Land, both from the South Coast of NSW with a passion for electrical and lighting design.
At the start of 2020, Abel had not long returned home from a gap year after completing his electrical apprenticeship and Dean was working for a local electrical company. The two had known each other for years, their families being good friends who often holidayed together, and it felt like their careers were at a similar turning point. It was time to head out on their own and build a brand they could be proud to represent.
Both Dean and Abel knew they had a similar outlook and work ethic, making this partnership one worth pursuing. They both have an astute attention to detail, value positive client relationships, and take pride and care in the final result of their hard work and services. They brainstormed a business name that they felt suited the unique landscape in which they work: a place where the countryside hugs the coastline. They stuck some stickers on the side of their van and truck and got to work, building and harvesting relationships with valued clients across the region.
Six years on, Dean and Abel are hugely proud of the business they have built and the team they have created. They have secured a contract with the Salvation Army, providing preventative and reactive maintenance and testing to their locations all across the region and out to ACT. They also provide maintenance services to many Uniting Age Care locations. Coast and Country Electrical works closely with a number of real estates throughout the Shoalhaven and Illawarra, providing all aspects of electrical to rental homes. Aside from the maintenance and testing part of the business, Coast and Country prides itself on the craftsmanship and skill they provide to new domestic builds and renovations of all scale, having worked with some of the finest local builders in the area: Southern Edge, MS Building, BAM Construction, Wilson Building & Design, to name a few.
The Coast and Country team has grown to seven additional team members, with six vans and trucks on the road and an office location in the industrial part of Gerringong. The attention to detail and the high-end craftsmanship combined with valued client relationships has never wavered.
